Today I submitted my second version of the RED logo. RED is a start-up in Baja, Mexico that provides eco-tourism. I am psyched to be working on my first international project. Here are some of my favorite examples of logo number two. My creative direction was to make the word RED look like a fish, and perhaps add some other natural elements to the tagline “turismo sustentable.”

Second Version Of Red Logo
Wednesday, January 20th, 2010Threadless Tshirt Submitted
Thursday, January 14th, 2010I submitted my first tshirt to Threadless Tshirts. You can see its first draft in my previous post. After some critiques, hand wringing and many visits back to the drawing board, I ditched the pacman ghosts (possible copyright infringement. plus i wanted to do without the crutch of pop culture) and reworked the central heart. I’ve called the final version Shazam Mandala (!) because when your heart is centered it shoots out popsicles and lightning bolts and makes you want to shout Shazam! (ok, there’s a little bit of pop culture reference there). It is also inspired by the mantra Om Nami Pahdme Hom (if you’re into that sort of thing). Now that the design has been submitted you can click on this link to rate it to help me increase my chances of it being selected.
